Alicia and Aaron’s scenic lake elopement was absolutely beautiful and unique. Alicia is a wedding photographer, and after having seen so many weddings, she wanted to plan a day that was completely original to them. They decided to share an intimate elopement at a small private beach on Pitt Lake, and then celebrate their marriage a week later with their friends and family.
On their wedding day, their first look took place on the boat docks. Alicia was standing on one of the docks, and Aaron drove up the marina in their boat, to catch his first glimpse of her. They shared a quiet moment together, before gathering their family into the boat. They drove through the calm waters of Pitt Lake to a remote beach, where Aaron had built an arbour out of driftwood, as a surprise for their wedding day. The couple stood under the arbour, and exchanged personalized vows. They were married in the most beautiful, scenic setting, surrounded by nature and family. After their ceremony, they shared a champagne toast on the beach, followed by an epic photoshoot with Shari and Mike.
After their elopement, the whole family boated back to the mainland together, and gathered at Kingfishers Pub. Their closest friends and family were there, waiting to congratulate them on their marriage. They all celebrated and shared a meal together, while I quietly pulled away some friends and family to privately record their speeches. During the next week, I created a video of their elopement and speeches, to show during their reception.
A week after their elopement, Alicia and Aaron gathered all of their friends and family at Swallowfield Farms for their wedding reception. Alicia had beautifully decorated the barn, and it fit the couple perfectly. They began their reception with a grand entrance into the barn, where Alicia’s father gave a quick toast. All of the guests then gathered around, and watched the video of the elopement and speeches for the first time.
Alicia and Aaron's first dance was outside, in front of the barn. The rain held off just long enough for their dance, and then everyone headed inside for a night of festivities, cupcakes, and breakdancing battles. Their wedding was truly a unique and special day, filled with epic scenery, love, and laughter.
